Tom Brady...system quarterback or not?

i guess now we shall find out. for those who didn't know, tom brady is out for the season after tearing his acl against the cheifs yesterday. matt cassel will step in as the new system quarterback. seeing as how he has never been a starter (he was a backup his entire career at USC) we shall see if it truly is the system. i mean, for the longest time, people have made the arguement that tom brady is a product of the system that bill bellichek has in place in new england. also, lets not forget that he has had a pretty solid receiver corps over the past few years. yes i know that welker and of course moss have only been there since last year. but lets not forget about deion branch, david patten, and a couple of others that escape my mind at the moment. i will go on and say that i am one of those people who has never really liked tom brady. you might say that i hate him because my brother is a huge patriots fan....correction, he has to be one of the most irritating patriots fans out there. he certainly is the most irritating patriots fan i know...but then again he's the only one i know. i guess it could also be that he defeated alabama in the orange bowl as the michigan qb in shaun alexander's (my favorite alabama player of all time) final game (damn you ryan phlugner...all you had to do was hit that damn extra point in overtime! thank god we have leigh tiffing now right?.....) with that said, system qb or not the numbers don't lie. over the last two years he has passed for 8,335 yards, 74 touchdowns, and only 16 interceptions. numbers like that are hard to argue with. even though i don't like him, i'll take a system quarterback with 3 superbowl rings, and those numbers any day of the week. don't get me wrong, brady is no gus frerotte...but then again, who is?
